Support a Family Long Term

When you support a family long term, you’re doing more than giving a one-time handout – you’re helping create lasting, meaningful change.

Every story featured here is real. These women and families are part of our Emergency Aid programme, receiving support with housing, food, childcare, medical needs, and more. Their names and photos have been changed to protect their privacy, but their struggles and resilience are very real.

Choose to support one of their journeys by committing to a recurring monthly donation; even €2 a month makes a difference.

Jackie’s Story

When Jackie’s partner left and her daughter Lisa was diagnosed with autism, she kept pushing – juggling therapy, school, work, and survival. But the stress took its toll, and Jackie had no choice but to stop working.

Now living on €650 a month with no family to help, she’s doing everything she can to care for Lisa, but it’s not enough.

With your monthly support, we can keep showing up for Jackie and Lisa with food, essentials, and hope.

Anna's Story

Anna never had a safe childhood, but she swore things would be different for her children. Despite chronic illness, anxiety, and poverty, she’s raising four kids with strength, love, and fierce determination.

With ongoing support from Women for Women, Anna has accessed therapy, education, essentials, and even started sewing to rebuild her future. She now mentors other women, breaking the silence she once lived in.

Your monthly donation helps us continue to walk beside her and ensure her children never have to live the life she escaped.

Graziella's Story

Graziella is a single mum living with a chronic illness, raising two children and studying to become a Learning Support Educator. Her benefits barely cover the essentials, but she keeps going, studying late at night after her kids are asleep, determined to build a better life for them.

With your monthly support, we can help her keep the lights on, fix her laptop, cover school expenses, and give her the chance to graduate.
