Thrifty Lady started with a simple idea: What if the clothes sitting in our closets could help women get back on their feet?

Women for Women has always received donations for families in crisis, but we didn’t have the space to store them all. So instead of turning people away, we created a space where those donations could be given new life.

At Women for Women, we believe dignity matters. Through the Thrifty Lady shop, women we support can browse and choose preloved clothes for themselves – finding pieces that fit well and suit their own style, just like anyone else shopping for what makes them feel comfortable and confident.

Thrifty Lady is now a small but mighty preloved shop run by the Women for Women Foundation. Every item sold helps fund our support work, from groceries and school supplies to utility bills, therapy sessions, and emergency assistance for women and children facing hardship.
